Message from the Temporary Selection Committee (TSC) First of all, thank you for your trust and support in this next chapter of our collective life to strengthen the Residents’ Assembly. We are Suryagandhi, Suzie, Shivaya, Claudine, Guna, Rakhal, Juegen P., Mita R., and Amy B.. For us this work is a research in human unity; an attempt to tune ourselves to the Divine Will for Auroville at this moment. The Residents’ Assembly Service (RAS) announced the results of the Emergency Residents’ Assembly Decision (ERAD) on 20 January morning. As the TSC has been asked by the community, spearheaded by the Light For Unity team, to complete its task within 14 days, we met on the 20th afternoon itself. Our aspiration is to serve from an intuitive space, in freedom, trust and flexibility. If you are ready to give of your goodwill, time and energy and to offer your service to the collective, to work together … and you’re ready to commit to a 2 year term, please sincerely consider this beautiful opportunity to be part of creating our future together. We invite you to use your inner capacities and intuition. In that spirit, we are seeking nominations from everyone in the community. You can self-nominate (“I am interested”), or nominate someone (“Please consider “X” and/or “Y””). We are going to reach out to people as well. We envision a rich and varied selection of people to consider for positions of responsibility and accountability to the RA. When you nominate someone please provide us with their full name, and at least one contact (email or phone number), and the community where they live. There are 27 opportunities to serve: Working Committee (5 people), FAMC (9), AVC (6), and Land Board (7). We’ve created a nomination Google Form but you do not have to use it. It’s up to you. 2. You can write to us at [email protected] with the information about self- and/ or other nomination(s). 3. Meet with us: We’re organizing a general meeting of information sharing which also provides an opportunity to self- nominate or nominate others. This Saturday 24 January from 4.30 to 6 pm at Mahalakshmi Park at the stone gathering place. More information about the work will be shared. You can ask questions. We especially encourage those who are not comfortable working on the computer or with Google Forms to participate on Saturday afternoon. By the form, or email we ask that you respond to this call urgently … since the time is rather short. We need to hear from you by 12 midnight on Sunday 25 January.
