Tantrotsav 2026: Kubjikam – Art of Tantra (Ritual Offerings)

This evening we witness: Vidukadhai- An exploration of Acting through Kalari (A theatrical exploration) & Ashta Nāga Kalam by Sudheer Mullurkara & Team. A sacred ritual art of Kerala, centred on intricate floor drawings invoking the eight serpent deities using natural pigments. Rooted in the Pulluvan tradition, the kalam is drawn as a temporary, consecrated form of worship. Through this act of sacred making, the ritual honours the Nāgas as guardians and benefactors, invoking protection, balance, and well-being through ancestral faith.
